Why is .Ketasma prescribed?

Ketasma combats the release of chemicals that trigger allergic reactions. Available in eyedrop form, it works within minutes to relieve the itchy eyes brought on by allergies.

Most important fact about Ketasma: Ketasma is for use in the eyes only. Do not inject or swallow Ketasma.

How should you take Ketasma WITHOUT A PRIOR Prescriptions?

To prevent contamination, do not touch the eyelids, eye, or surrounding areas with the dropper tip of the bottle.

If you miss a dose Ketasma: Apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never apply more than 1 drop at a time.

Storage instructions: Keep the bottle tightly closed when it is not in use. Store between 39 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ketasma side effects: Side effects may include: Headache, runny nose, increased blood flow in the eyelid

Why should Ketasma not be prescribed?

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Ketasma, you'll be unable to use it.

Special warnings about Ketasma

Do not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red or irritated, and do not use Ketasma to treat irritation from contact lenses. If you wear soft contact lenses, wait at least 10 minutes after applying Ketasma before inserting them.

The safety and effectiveness of Ketasma in children below the age of 3 years have not been established.

Possible food and drug interactions when taking Ketasma: Since Ketasma is not ingested, interactions are unlikely.

Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding: The possibility that Ketasma could harm a developing baby has not been ruled out. Inform your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment with the drug.

Researchers do not know whether Ketasma can make its way into breast milk, but caution is advised if you're nursing.

Recommended dosage for Ketasma: The recommended dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, every 8 to 12 hours.
Overdosage

Overdosage is highly unlikely since swallowing even a whole bottle of Ketasma would give you only a fraction of the amount considered toxic. Nevertheless, if you suspect an overdose check with your doctor immediately.
